Welcome to our nineth edition of The Creator: ‘Solstice’.

Solstice is a redefinition of The Creator’s central ethos of introspection, identity, and reflection as we encourage our readers, writers, and creators to explore and uncover what Solstice means to you.

Inspired by Scotland’s rich folklore, nature and the rituals that tie them together Solstice invites you to create work about the changing seasons in your life and the world around you.

We encourage our contributors to slow down and get out in the sun, whenever it chooses to appear! Connect to the world, the warmth and life spring promises, and the connections you have with your loved ones.

So, what do you want to say?

What would you say if everyone was listening?

What would you say if no one was listening?

We want to hear it!

We are happy to accept any and submissions of poetry, prose, art, photography and non-fiction work. Your submission can be in any language.

""I know a bank where the wild thyme blows,
Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows,
Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine,
With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine:
There sleeps Titania sometime of the night,
Lull'd in these flowers with dances and delight."

- A Midsummer Night's Dream
William Shakespeare
